I have blown, with a leaf blower, out the 'nesting' from all of the ducts, used countless products, air it out through the winter in New York and still smells. Aside from taking the whole interior apart I can find no more evidence of mice. None from this past winter either. I don't want to redo the ducts. What are the odds of somebody buying this camper? Any comments welcome. (Please be polite though.)Re: On Battery, lights ok; slide, awning & jack kill batteryI just returned from AUTO-ZONE. Turns out the new Battery I just bought Saturday was BAD. They tested the replacement, just in case. Now I wonder if I should remove the new Power Converter and reinstall the original to see if that was good or not. I suppose my time is worth a return to Amazon. Is there anyway to test a power converter without full installation? On Battery, lights ok; slide, awning & jack kill batteryI have searched here but couldn't find an exact situation that I have. 2014 Keystone Bullet Premier did a reverse polarity by accident! Polarity fuses didn't burn out 3v Refrigerator Controller Fuse burned out and replaced. (Frig Works) replaced battery replaced Power Converter replaced Polarity Fuses cleaned battery terminals On shore power everything is good. On Tow Vehicle Power everything is good. On Battery, lights come on dim, then if I switch them on and off they come up bright. Battery 2/3 on monitor. On Battery, try slide, 'kills' battery. Same with Jack & Awning. Not sure what to try next. Can't locate any 'hidden' fuses. Are there any? All 15 AMP fuses good. Take battery back and get a more powerful one? Battery is a: Duralast is a 24MD-DL Cranking Amps 1000 with 115 Reserve Capacity. Thanks, JEREAnother !@#$ Warranty issue!Well, I got my new Keystone Premier Bullet 19' in January. Living in New York I brought it home & parked it. I did try out the heater, worked fine. As you may know, early last week we had a cold front move in & while camping we needed the heat on in the morning. It came on but so did the AC Fan. Fan only. So it was like they were fighting each other. Having some other warranty work done I added this. Well they told me at Camping World of Kingston that the reason is because the vent was dirty. This is my 5th camper and I have never experienced this one before. I asked them if they cleaned it out. They said only if I pay! Okay. Why? Because it's customer maintenance and I didn't bring it in within a month of purchase. I don't even know what vent we are talking about (on the phone). They say the one from the outside in. Then I was told a tech used an air hose and blew it out and the issue is fixed. Huh? What just happened here. I will follow up when I pick it up!Re: Fresh water tank drain; Keystone Premier Bullet 19FBPRSo, no one but but me here has a Keystone Premier Bullet?Fresh water tank drain; Keystone Premier Bullet 19FBPRWhere is the fresh water tank drain and how do I drain it? This is my 5th RV and the manual says to drain and mentions low point drains. I see a single blue drain r towards the front but don't know where/how to use. Dumb manual.Re: Downsized both Tow & RVEven though I washed it with undercarriage spray every winter after every storm I had severe problems with rust & corrosion. Brakes, Gas line, bottom of doors, all bare metal rusting & flaking, bumper okay but from the inside I could see it getting cancer. Of course front & back brakes, rear differential seal & cover. I am not capable of doing my own work due to lack of training & a place to work on it except my driveway plus lack of good tools. I spent almost $5k in the last year just to keep it up. I also had dropped my camper on the bed and had that repaired. I got a fair trade-in of $14. Considering the Kelly Blue Book for a Fair condition dealer trade it was right on. It just seemed anytime I had the truck in for something going wrong I left over $1500 at the shop. Car payments of $4200 per year although painful are not as bad as the maintenance. The actual engine was trouble free. I just think I would have been driving around on a rusted frame with an engine attached to it! LOL. That's the gist of it. As far as mileage per gallon the truck got about 16mpg on my 25 mile/35mph commute. Towing the 6 ton camper in the Hudson Valley hills got me about 9mpg. The Traverse so far is coming in with 18.3mpg for the same commute. Towing the camper home got me about 13mpg.Downsized both Tow & RVJust wanted to make it known that I've downsized quite dramatically. I went from a Chevy Duramax 05 2500 to a 2014 Chevy Traverse (Crossover) & a Sunnybrook Bristol Bay 08 (36') to a Premier Bullet by Keystone. (21'). Weight dropped by 2/3. 12,000lbs. to a little over 4000lbs. The only experience I've had towing with this new setup was last Friday, towing from Camping World to my home. About 50 miles. What a smooth trip! So much easier to park in my terrible driveway that is on a State Highway! We decided to almost give it all up. Cost and upkeep of the truck was way out of control. Then the DW came up with a plan. We're no longer dreaming of fulltiming it or taking that 10,000 mile trek to see the country. When I guestimate it the rate per mile with diesel is $1.50 give or take. I can do better than burn over $10k on fuel. So we will become simple RVers again. This unit is most similar to our 1st RV. It was a Fleetwood Pioneer 19T4 02. We are now on #5. Any comments or questions welcome except downright rude criticism. Save that for the evening news please.Annual Leaking Toilet SealI don't get it! Every year the same thing. The round rubber seal won't hold the water in the toilet. I clean the seal with the little scrapper and that never works. Every year I gotta buy a new seal. Maybe I should just get a new toilet! :h:? Thanks for all the tips. I will look into them for sure. I didn't let it dry out all winter, it had anti-freeze. I'll try the oil.
