Have been for a couple of years now and a member since 2006. Then out of the clear blue yesterday in my mailbox is a complimentary membership to Good Sam Club. New membership number and everything. Why mail this out when I am already a member? How many other members received this also? Think of money that can be saved to clean up the database. Something had to kick that out.Re: Radio antenna wa8yxm wrote: Well the little stubby AM/FM Dash radio that Damon put on my Intruder. Works great if I can see the tower lights.. But for long range reception.. It works exactly as I would expect it to work. (NOT very well). That said.. I had problems with the dash radio cutting in and out, and it was driving me bananananananas. On my intruder the Pioneer dash radio feeds like a 150 watt stereo amp on the side wall near the parking brake.. And on the firewall there is a relay box so it uses the same speakers as the big Pioneer home theater system (Which by the way works well but not when rolling, rolling, rolling down the highway due to that relay box disconnecting the speakers) Turns out one of the MOLEX plugs (Multi Pin, milkey white plastic thing) was not properly seated,, I finally pressed on it, heard the CLICK as the latched latched. and it's worked much better since.. Still no long range radio though. I have a nice LONG wire for my LONG range radio. (I mean I can chat with folks in Italy with only 30-40 watts of transmit power.. Not bad.. Digital of course). I will get under the dash to check this out. I don't think it is the radio because it is two different radios that the problem is happening on. Both dash and the outdoor entertainment one too. And it does use the same speakers as the entertainment system inside coach. Could just be a simple fix.Radio antennaI have a 2012 Damon Challenger. I have a problem with dash radio and outside radio not receiving and signal. When you first start the coach the radio works fine. But, after about 10 mins signal goes away. Doesn't matter if am or fm signal. Service repair cannot find any problems. Of course they are located within large city and stations are close by they check with. I cannot stay with it while they check it out. I keep saying antenna on top of coach. They say no problems. Any ideas where I can start to look?Re: Mr. Lamonis, your rv insurance program through NGI stinksTo each his own. When I purchased the MH I took out the GMAC insurance which has since changed to NGI. One month after having the mh it got broken into. Had to file a claim. It was handled promptly and efficiently. Premium didn't go up the second year either. Is that because of the credit rating? I don't know if that is why or not. Haven't thought about changing companies yet. And probably won't unless it goes up tremendously.Re: Alternative to "Waterless Wash Wax Mop"?I purchased the system at the Rally in Atlanta. Haven't used it yet but will be in the next couple of weeks to put the MH to rest for the winter.Re: 2008 Jeep LibertyOn my 2007 I just turn to the first click. Only unlocks steering wheel.Re: Satellite Question Grey Mountain wrote: We have taken our receivers from home for years. You can order PPV while on the road - do not have to be hooked to your phone line. When you do eventually hook up to a phone line, you will be billed for what you have ordered. We used a portable dish for years, then a few years back bought a Winegard Carry-Out automatic dish. It's programmed out of the box for Direct TV, but can be programmed for Dish. Just set it a flat surface with a clear view of the southern sky, plug it in and it will find the signal. Works great. When we bought our present coach, it had an automatic roof dish. That dish went belly-up last year, so we had a DirectTV Trav'ler automatic dish installed. That's the only dish that would provide Direct TV HD. We recently upgraded to whole-house DVR at home, and DirectTV left one of the old receivers for use in the coach at no extra charge. We now take one receiver from home and use the old one for the coach. If you subscribe to your local channels, you will not get them while on the road. GM I have always taken my home receivers with me. Like others have said no sense in paying for something you aren't using. We have four receivers at home and just keep one in the coach at all times until we store for winter. BTW - I have always gotten my local home channels wherever I travel too. I have even gotten them in Florida. And I live in Kentucky. I like to keep up to date with home local more than local where I am at. I can use antenna for that.Re: Sold an RV-- best way to get paid? happybooker1 wrote: MrWizard wrote: nobody buys sight unseen, no inspection or something its a scam plain and simple he will pay a 'compatriot' to transport/pickup and you will end up robbed the paypal acct is possibly fake/scam he's not going to give up real cash when you might catch on you haven't sold anything until you have, USA green backs in your hands I had 3 bidders on this RV, none of which had seen the RV -- just the pics on EBay. One was an RV dealership 250 miles away which has a website & many, many RVs on their lot. So all 3 were willing to buy MY RV sight-unseen. I know it COULD be a scam, that's why I asked for the surest way to be sure BOTH of us are protected. I checked with my bank today & all he needs is my bank name, routing number, & account number which is on ANY CHECK I write. They don't need me at the bank. So..... We still are waiting for tomorrow. I would open a secondary acct with my bank and use that acct. I would not use my normal everyday acct. Would not use a savings acct either. That way if it is a scam they would not drain you. Open the acct with minimum then when the transaction is completed move to another acct and close the secondary acct.Re: Damon electrical issueI have a similar problem in my 2012 Challenger. The living room overhead lights, outdoor porch light sometimes doesn't work. There is no reason to be found why they sometimes work and sometimes don't. Well I found the problem being in the fuse panel. I can take the fuse out and then put back in and everything will work fine. That is until I am driving motorhome and then when we stop or even while driving they might or might not work. Go to fuse box and take that fuse out and put back in it will start working once again. Taking into shop this week to get the fuse box change out.Re: Towing a Jeep Liberty 4wd with a dollyI tow mine 4 wheel down. Never had any problems what so ever. A lot easier than using a dolly. Would have to find a place to put when at campground. Sometimes not a lot of room at sites to store something like a dolly.
