Anyone towing with e assist and 308 gears ?
I never thought I would camp again, sold my 350 cummins and camper. I bought an e-assist 5.3 with 308 gears. 25mpg all day long. I love the truck but we would like to buy a small trailer and travel some. Anyone at all towing with 308 gears?2.5KViews0likes9CommentsRe: Ford 6.8 serpentine belt
It was the ford as I stated. It was traveling friends. Called Good Sams and first call ended up worthless. Called on Monday and finally got a service call out to repair it. Costs over $600. I think the guy took a nap under the motorhome. I think I could have changed it in 15 min max if I could have gotten the belt. Thanks for the one answer I recieved for my question. I changed out my dinette for a LazyBoy,leather, reclining love seat. All the diff in the world. We gave up the propane heater, and the overhead bunk, which was never used. We heat with small electric heater or Buddy propane unit. We also dont have a table, but can recline back, watch Tv, and eat out of a tray just fine. I also removed the single drawer in the slide. Actually the space you gain behind the couch more than makes up for it, it is accessable from the outside storage compartment. I decided to make the change ater our 14,000 mile trip to Alaska and back. The dinnete was my only complaint. We have traveled all states except for 3 and most of Canada. I rebuilt the nose on my 06. Alum frame 811. I can help you with pics and what I did. I removed all the luan on the nose and replaced it with aluminum rivited to the frame. I ordered a new piece of filon for the nose. I removed all the front marker lights and replaced with well sealed leds. If you could post or send pics it would help.661Views0likes0Comments
