Many of you are very creative and I'd love to see your ideas. Tommy :)Re: Follow up on new paint jobTHAT is awesome!!!Re: Blue Ridge Parkway questionTHIS was one of the neatest trips we've been on. Drove the Parkway in our 42 Monaco towing our pick up. We have such awesome pictures and great memories. There are various campgrounds along the way that will accommodate. I would call and reserve first. Also, I would plan to get to the campground early as it gets dark very fast. Enjoy your trip! TommyTPMS testimonialI am very tire paranoid; probably because of the RV claims I deal with so I pay particular attention to my tires. I had all new Michelins installed a couple of months ago. Friday we left Dallas for Chattanooga to visit our son in College. I routinely look at my Tire Pressure Monitoring System and noticed my rear outside dual loosing 1 pound every ten minutes. After about ten pounds I pulled over to check the validity. It was true. I checked everything and it all seemed ok. I added air and headed to a Loves where they checked and found a loose valve stem on the wheel and tightened it. Problem solved. Without the system I would have endured a blow out and extensive damage. I wholeheartedly endorse any TPMS!!! If you're on the fence, I hope this helps you install the system. If you're not considering the system, please do. TommyRe: M@G Break SystemI have the M&G system. It's the only one I've ever used, but after much research I'm pleased I chose them. They installed everything for me to boot! TommyRe: Tire Age Question For My Neighbor lunch surfer wrote: I have posted this before! I am sure some tires are too old. I am sure some are overloaded. I am sure some are underinflated. Not sure any of this matters........ Had a blow out last month. Michelin XZA3 275 80 22.5 LRH dot 4208 120 psi in it 128*F temp per TST TPMS Fist size rupture on inside side wall passenger front, not warning what so ever. No damage other than that 5500lbs on tire 22,000 miles on tire Not going to change anything Bought 2 new ZXA3 mounted and balance $1200 back on road Going to see if Michelin will help with cost Turning it over to God cause that what it seems like to me. Be safe out there, can't be too careful! ctc -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isn't this more proof? Am I missing something? TommyRe: Tire Age Question For My NeighborPlease advise him to replace his tires. When tires reach 5 years old they are more likely to fail. Why take the chance? Aside from road hazard, almost every tire failure on any blog is on tires beyond 5 yrs old. TommyRe: Blowout, bad and good luckEIGHT years old? I'm not the only person that knows this is a very risky proposition. Change your tires at five years for the safety of your family and mine. Folks there's so much evidence that tells us to change our tires at five years. I'm glad no one was hurt in this situation. TommyRe: Staying at Walmarts and suchWhen traveling from a to b it is very practical to stop at a Walmart and rest until am. Usually we spend hundreds of dollars inside when we do. Win- Win. Like with anything, if you abuse it you're wrong. My opinion. TommyRe: Insurance RecommendationContact an RV Insurance Specialist in your area. Go old school, call them and ask them which company is best for your particular unit. Ask about agreed value, diminishing deductible, windshield deductible and here's a kicker...who covers power surges NOT from a lightening strike? When you find a friendly voice intelligently answer those questions, give them an opportunity to earn your business. Tommy
