Sometimes we get electrical hook ups, it's rare though. The battery compartment is under the unit. And I guess I would rather not mess with checking water and stuff.I think the smoke/propane alarm runs down the battery, cause it's always dead after a few weeks of sitting. We don't leave the rv plugged in, as thats how our old rv caught on fire. Isn't there a maint free deep cycle?Best house battery?Hi guys. I'm sure this discussion is somewhere on here, I can't seem to find it. Anyway my house battery has died. It was a Lifeline AGM deep cycle. These batteries are pricey and heavy! Someone told me that I don't really need an AGM battery, that a good quality deep cycle is cheaper, lighter and will actually hold a better charge. I did some research and found that AGM batteries are better for vibration resistance, but really your engine battery takes the same amount of shakes and bumps that the house battery would right? So what are your thoughts? Pay the extra for a AGM, or just go with a top of the line deep cycle? I'm looking for one with Lifetime maps for our Class C.Do all motorhome propane tanks refill the same way? After a horrible motorhome propane refilling experience at Tractor Supply, I was told I have an "Odd tank" on my 2012 ford/ thor majestic. I told them "all motorhomes are the same", they said "that's your opinion", I said "no that's a fact". My 1990 ford had the same exact tank. They claim they've refilled motorhomes before. They said "we've even done those big bus types here". I said I don't see how since you don't have the right size fitting the fit my tank. When I found a propane dealer to refuel at, I asked that guy. He said he's been refilling motorhomes for 30 years, and they're all the same. The other place "just didn't know what they were doing", he said.Re: Atwood Water Heater Blowing Fuses Chris Bryant wrote: Before replacing the board, look at the wiring to the valve, and the eco to check for shorts. Thanks Chris. I started checking the ECO as you suggested, and found that it was all loose. The plastic holder that holds it tight to the tank was broken. I just decided to buy a replacement ECO/Thermostat kit for $12 bucks. Installed that and a new 2 amp fuse, and it seems to be working just fine. Fired right up and left it run for about 15 mins. Could it being loose like that make it blow fuses? What does ECO stand for and what does it do?Black tank cleaning problem.I recently purchased a former rental 23A Thor/Majestic class C from Cruise America. I was under the impression that most black tanks are directly under the toilet, and when you open the trap, you can put your rigid magic wand straight down in the hole and rinse the tank. This unit has an elbow under the trap about 10 ins down or so. I can't get the wand down in there. Do some of you have the same issue? Do they make a flexi wand of some sort to get down in there? Sorry for all the "Crappy" questions. :)Re: Reducing "Tractor Trailer Push" E-350 Class CYou guys truly are a collective fountain of knowledge. Thanks for all the input. :)Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?Okay so, I'm new to this thread. We just recently purchased a Thor/ Majestic 23A from cruise America. So far we love it. Have only one issue so far and that's the hot water heater. I've yet to look at it, probably will today. Anyway I have a question. I'm under the impression that most RV black tanks are DIRECTLY under the toilet so you can open the trap and put your rigid tank spraying wand straight down and rinse it. When I open my toilet trap, it's an elbow about 10 inches down. The wand won't go in there. Do some people need a flexi wand of some sort to spray their tanks, or have I been screwed by some weird style toilet/tank configuration?Reducing "Tractor Trailer Push" E-350 Class CHey Guys: 'Ol "Twenty Questions" here again! Are there suspension "add-ons" one can install to reduce that feeling of being pushed off the road by Tractor Trailers coming up beside you? Or how about that weird shaky feeling when your driving behind a tractor trailer in it's wake? My ride's a Class C Ford E-350 Super Duty 25'.Atwood Water Heater Blowing FusesMy Atwood 6 gallon water heater Mod. G6A-BE blew the 2amp fuse located on the circuit board when I switched it on. I replaced the fuse and tried again but it blew a fuse again. This time I took the igniter probes out and cleaned them. I also cleaned all wire connections including the ground wire making sure each one was clean. I didn't have any 2amp fuses left, so I put in a 5amp (not wise I know but we were camping)....anyhow it came on and heated for about a minute, then blew out again. At this point I gave up because I didn't want to damage it any further that I may have using a 5amp fuse. So....Any thoughts? Anyone once have a similar problem??
