Safe Travels!Re: Fighting off boredom on the roadI read a good mystery, listen to my I-Pod , enjoy scenery and since I am navigator I look at a good map and GS campground catalogue. I try to find good side trips we might enjoy. ON one trip while nearing St.Louis I noticed The town of Hannibal and off the beaten path we went. Home of Mark Twain and a delightful adventure! Just explore and enjoy the fun of the journey.Re: Skidaway or James Island?I think St. James would be the most accommodating without a tow! Skid away and Savannah are great as well.Re: No road side Assistance! Blow out on interstate!Good Sam Corporate Office responded to this post /complaint. They offered reimbursement for charges we encountered in getting other assistance. The reimbursement amount arrived yesterday. I feel it fair to post this resolution.Complaint answered with reimbursement.I posted a complaint a week or so ago on the lack of assistance during a severe blow out we experienced on I65. This post was forwarded to a Customer Service agent in the Denver Office by this site's moderator. The C/S agent was apologetic (should have been) and accepted responsibility for this lack of help during a dangerous situation. He offered us reimbursement for the charges we encountered . The check for that amount arrived today. I felt it fair to post the resolution to this complaint and the Company's response.Re: Pensacola Beach RV resortWe have just left Five Flags over Fla. In Pensacola. It is not a RV Resort but our pull-in site was great. It is a newer par with no pool or clubhouse . It is conveniently located and the camp host was helpful and friendly. There were quiet a few camped there as their permanent residence but so friendly. We saw the Blue Angels practice show and museum which were amazing and easy to get to NAS. We felt safe and enjoyed our time there. Will be back . Reasonable rates.Re: No road side Assistance! Blow out on interstate! In responses to calling the police for help it did not come to mind in the beginning. I just thought call the Emergency Assistance we had! We have learned many lessons thru this ordeal. I pray we never have this type trouble again but I also know mechanical problems can occur any where, any time. I thought we were I covered to handle these problems. I am now much more aware of how to handle these mishaps! Safe Travels to All who love this awesome adventurous lifestyle!Re: No road side Assistance! Blow out on interstate! Thanks everyone for your comments. In reference to a few points.. We would have welcomed a tire to be changed out but due to the condition of the Dollie ( the fender was actually sheared) we were unsure if just tire replacement would be safe to travel. At the time we were just trying to get off the Interstate and would have welcomed any assistance but the dispatcher did not offer any solution. He said he would return call in about 20minutes. I called them back and was told they still had no answer for us. We should have had a spare and that was a mistake on our part. I still would have felt we needed assistance to change it out. I never felt the young man understood what I was telling him or needing.. It was a very stressful and nerve wracking ordeal. I am so thankful for the help we received thru Ala. Hwy Patrol. It is over but not soon forgotten.Re: No road side Assistance! Blow out on interstate! It was not about money! We had cash! We needed help !
