I thought problem with foot pedal So I pressed few times and came out the same. Then I cleaned the flapper. There is no debris. So wondering if it has to do with vacuum breaker or water valve? Any tip would be appreciated it. Thanks again!Re: Freezer has not reach down to zero Dutch_12078 wrote: Does it work any better on LP? I have thought about it. It came out between 1.2 and 1.4 AMP. I would think the heating tube works fine? Made me wondering if it is time to replace heating tube? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks Advance? What temp is freezer at? Electric heat element is a 300W rated at 2.5A - 2.7A with 120V AC Fan in outside compartment.........working? As present time - Outside temp is 81 degree. Earlier afternoon the fan kicked on. But now fan is not running. Eastern time 2000. Refrigerator remain the same 40. Freezer 20 degree. (Amp - 1.4) I turned down setting to 5. After 3rd time, shut down. I could feel gas valve "knock sound" Do you think it is possible has to do with auto changeable regulator near by propane bottles?Re: Suburban Gas valve - test OHM dougrainer wrote: Why not just put 12 volts to the 1 and 4 and ground to 2 and 3. Then gently blow thru the inlet and see if air comes out the outlet???????? FYI, I have NEVER seen a gas valve coil really fail on a Suburban in years. Doug Thank you Doug! This am I tested the spare gas valve which I bought and sure enuf air blow went thru. I am going to take the circuit card to RV dealer and have them test it. I did not test gas valve on my camper because it is at campground. Will check tmw.Re: Suburban Gas valve - test OHM midnightsadie wrote: what is the problem? most times its some thing very simple that shuts things down. I contacted the seller. He said both coils should show OHMS. So he is going to send me other gas valve. Hope this will solve the problem. Cross my fingers!Suburban Gas valve - test OHMI need your help. The gas valve number is 25M16V Type 780. (part number 161109) I ordered from Ebay. The package arrived last Saturday. Anyway I want to test coil to make sure they are working before I replace the old gas valve. I tested terminal number 1 and 2 reads 42 ohms. This tell me it is working. Now next test terminal number 3 and 4 read none? My old gas valve has the same reading. If this is what it should, mean it is possible other problem - like maybe bad circuit card? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Hope to get parts ready to get it fix before gone camping this weekend.Re: Help -- Suburban water heater - gas valveJust a thought. This will be second time replace gas valve. Made me think it is possible that hot water dripping cause the coil short life? The last time I replace was nine years ago.Re: Help -- Suburban water heater - gas valve RV Sam wrote: The one closest to the tank usually goes due to high heat from the tank. Make up a little shield from a pop can or something to slide in there to reflect some of the heat away. Keep your old one as one coil is still good. Yes glad you suggested about save the old coil for spare. Will do that.
