Problems with #10 cylinderI have a 2007 Ford V10 E450 engine. Several mechanics including my son state that V10 engines spit out spark plugs, usually #10 that will lead to costly repair. Does anyone know what year Ford changed the heads to alleviate the problem. I have 40,000 miles on a Tioga, and am considering selling it. I love the RV. Ford has not been helpful. Thanks.Re: Recommended RV for National Park VolunteerWe worked in Yellowstone Park for three years. We have a 26ft. Class C. If your not full time RVers I would suggest no more than 30 ft. If you plan to RV camp at Federal and State parks size matters. Anything bigger my restrict your entry. We like C's because we use the cab sleeper for storage or extra room for guests.Re: Yellowstone weatherMy wife and I have worked in the YNP for three summers. September is a good time to go because many of the summer tourists have left. Traffic congestion goes way down. The animals come down from higher elevations to fatten up for the winter. You have a good chance of seeing wolves and bears. I would recommend parking your RV in Mammoth for warmer temperatures. Fishing Bridge for hookups. Fishing is hot at that time. Take a good pair of binoculars. Have fun.Restore FiberglassI have a 6 year old fiberglass class C MotorHome. We live in New Mexico and park it on a pad in the sun. One side looks new, the other side has faded considerably. What can I use to help restore the faded side. Yes, I could back it in and fade the good side. Then they would look alike. I'm too old to climb on top to cover the RV.Re: What is the fuel economy, or UNeconomy, on a "C".It's almost impossible to get an accurate mpg reading on my "C", it is very hard to gas up to full each time. Best advice is drive 55-60, and stop worrying about gas mileage . RVing is expensive period.
