The service is called RV Trip Wizard. You can try it before subscribing to it... It allows you to set a set of "distance rings" which are concentric from your last specified location and you specify the distance on each ring (I have mine set at 200, 250 and 300 miles). You can find it here: RV Trip Wizard Once you get the hang of it, it's a REALLY useful tool!!Re: Anyone running 3 15M AC's on 50 amp? Follow up addedYour signature indicates you are operating a Newmar Dutch Star... Newmar coaches will run 3 ACs and oodles of other "stuff" without breaking a sweat!! You were told WRONG my friend!! Not to speak heresy, but I would suggest you also join the IRV2 Forums and link to the Newmar owners section! The information available there is unbelievable!!Re: towed brake suggestionsDon't hesitate, RVIBrake 2 system! Super easy to install, easy to operate and great Customer service!!Re: 350 HP ICE vs. 350 HP Diesel? In a word: TORQUE!!Re: Blue Sky insuranceWell, we have National (old GMAC) insurance. I saw some postings that raved about BlueSky so I thought what the heck... doesn't cost anything to ask for a quote. So I did... their quote came back X2to what we're paying with National... and that was JUST THE COACH, my National INCLUDES the cars! Decided we would stay with National!!Re: HELP!! RVs are high (in height)!!We built an RV garage for our 2002 Beaver Patriot. The Patriot was a "low" coach around 12' 3" and then we traded it for a 2011 Newmar Essex... a 13' coach! Call out a reputable contractor... you will be shocked at what they can do with your garage. Also, look at installing a "dual" track garage door. We were lucky, our ceiling was 14' and they were able to raise the garage door opening to 13'9"!! Re: Diesel pusher overheatingHad similar issues with a 1999 Safari Serengeti with a CAT 300 engine and rear radiator (which I hate - really bad design). First, check where your engine "blow-by" hose is located. Very often they are routed where the oil blow-by will be directed on to the radiator from the front side. If the hose is not WELL below and aft of the radiator, extend it! Secondly, you MUST drive these units (rear radiators) differently... and it's a pain! When it's hot and you see hills on the horizon you MUST DOWN SHIFT MANUALLY to keep the RPM up BEFORE starting the climb! You want to keep the RPM near peak torque (typically 2,100 RPM)while climbing. To do this you must down shift before the engine starts to lug (where a normal down shift would occur). By keeping the RPM up, you will maximize the air flow across the radiator achieving maximum delta "T" on your cooling system. Remember, it's not the speed your concerned with but the RPMs to achieve maximum cooling. Hope this helps...Re: Alternative to "Waterless Wash Wax Mop"?I have that system... and it's worth the cost!!GS Park UpdatesMarcus, I'm curious, how often does GS update their GS RV Park listing? We checked in to Harbortown RV Resort in Monroe Michigan. I picked it because it was a Good Sam Park as indicated on the GS "Find a Campground" search feature. Upon check-in I was informed they are NOT a Good Sam member and there is no GS member discount! I just checked again and they are still listed as a Good Sam park... Talk about bait and switch... Oh, and by the way, any BIG RIGS planning on staying here, walk the site they assign you! They appear to have no knowledge of what a 45 foot rig turning radius is and will assign you a site that is decorated with large bonnet trees that a big rig cannot clear!!Re: Advice on where to stay in the SD Rushmore/Black Hills areaWe stayed at Rushmore Shadows RV Park; it was very nice!!
