Some have reported that the paint softened the adhesive that holds the paper veneer on the cabinet and they ended up with a mess. Good luck, Scott Ugh- really?!- I never even thought of that... not good...Pergo Outlast- under a slide on 97 Fleetwood TiogaI M looking at replacing our flooring and going hardwood look. Trying to decide between laminate and vinyl plank. Does anyone know how the slide on a Fleetwood Tioga from 97 works? Are there rollers that the floor rolls in and out on? I have seen a YouTube video where a guy jacked up his slide and put this flooring down, and the slide just rolls right over the new height. I am wondering if my slide will work the same way. It looks to me the laminate would be about the same height as the carpet, but I don't want to have issues with my slide... https://youtu.be/iwORlQbj1z4 I really like the look, feel and density of the laminate compared to the vinyl plank just feels cheap crappy... they are both about the same cost per sq ft... Has anyone done this with a Fleetwood Tioga with a Slide? ThanksPInting the cabinetsHello All, I have a few questions for those of you that painted your cabinets. Too much paneling and wood grain, we are going to paint the kictchen, bathroom, and bedroom cabinets white. Here are my questions... The rig is a 97 Fleetwood Tioga 31 - So the kitchen have some plastic trim pieces thru the kitchen, did you paint those? Is there a after market hitch i can ad or something? ThanksRe: Screwing into outside walls Butch50 wrote: I wouldn't even think of drilling holes into the outside wall. When I installed shelves in one of my closets I used the brackets below fastened to the cabinet walls but not on the outside wall. Wall Bracklet Just to clarify - wasn't planning on screwing thru the wall - i meant putting a screw into the paneling that is on the outside wall. I would never screw al the way thru. i like the idea of liguid nil - only issue is those walls have that wonderful wallpaper stuff on it. I might go with the plywood frame idea... Thanks for all the help!Screwing into outside wallsHello All - please forgive me as i am totally new to this RV thing. I recently bought a 1997 fleetwood tioga 31... I want to convert th "closet area to have more shelves and screw into the outside wall and the inside wood. The inside peice is no big deal it is particle board and that is easy enough. But the outside wall is my question. Can i run a screw into the outside wall, what kind of screw should i use, and how long of a screww should i go with. I basicaly want to make a extra shelf fr storing clothes... ThanksRe: 1997 Fleetwood Tioga Towing Capcitysticker above the hitch says 3500 lbs - so it looks like i am not towing my jeep... thanks for the answers1997 Fleetwood Tioga Towing CapcityHello - I am new to this RV thing. I just bought my first RV - and old 1997 Fleetwood Tioga. After taking my first trip with it this weekend - i am thinking it might be night to tow along my car behind it. I am trying to figure out if i can tow my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited behind it with a tow bar - so 4 wheel down towing. From what i can find my Jeep is probably about 5000 lbs. The Tioga has the v10 and is a 31' long version. It seems to have some good power on the highway and going 75 was not a problem... Bit i am wondering what the towing capacity is? If anyone know - please respond.. Also - most towing capacities are because of the tongue weight from what i a reading... So if i am towing my jeep with 4 wheels down can i go higher then the tow weight? Thanks!!
