Any way to miss I35 thru Dallas. Other suggestions appreciated. The scenic route can wait for another journey, just need quick this time.

I-35W thru Ft Worth. Mid day. You will have traffic for a few miles before and after downtown. But that will be quicker and easier than meandering thru smaller highways, small towns, traffic lights, and low speed limits trying to avoid it.
