Best route thru Nashville

440's not bad but keep in mind "rush hour" in Nashville is 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and then about 2:00 p.m. to whenever it clears. 840 would be my first choice.

Take 840 around.

Day of week and time of day?

In some cases, staying on I40 is fine, just stay in the middle lane as you often have to keep left or right to actually stay on I40 (as the other interstates merge and split off).

If close to a rush-hour timeframe, I840 loop around would be better.

Have not tried I440.
