Plenty of places in North America where Walmart and other big box, large parking lot owners are required by local ordinance to post "no overnight parking" signage. Many of those locations have zero interest in enforcing those signs, and/or local law enforcement that could care less. If I pull into a lot that obviously has several RVs that are set up to spend the night, I have no interest in what signs are posted in that case. My favorite sign was somewhere outside of Skagway, heading toward the AK. highway. I pulled off the road in the middle of the night, too tired to go on. The family headed back to the trailer for a few hours of sleep. In the morning I swung the door open, and was face to face with a "no overnight parking, $XX fine" sign. I then discovered that I was parked a few hundred feet away from a provincial campground, LOL. Like Grit Dog correctly notes, once you heading north, with PG in the mirror, there are countless places to boondock ahead.
