- Roy_LynneExplorerBox Canyon is always filled with boondockers. Its is at the Cottonwood Entrance of Joshua Tree, but turn south instead of north into the park and drive a couple of miles to chose your spot. If you go into the park, Cottonwood Campground is really nice but it costs. Its probably 4 or 5 miles into the Park.
South of Blythe is the Cibola NWR has some boondocking places. - Executive45Explorer IIIJust stop at the Chevron station at the top of the hill @ Chiriaco Summit. Plenty of parking...there's an airport and the General Patton museum...you could also continue a little farther and take the Desert Center/Rice highway. There's a church just off the fwy you could probably use...Dennis
