Dear Mr rocmoc
I live in San Ysidro, the town that is the port of entry in California.
The information comes from the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, I did not say that the town of Nogales ,Arizona has crime I stated that the port of entry is a target of the Sinaloa narco cartel as a point of smugling by any means possible.
I am not cruel and insensitive, I see and have worked with and for law enforcement, the truth is sometimes hard to accept, until the consumption of drugs in the USA is curbed all ports of entry and the surrounding coutry side will be ruined by the narcos, I have seen the devastation that they have done to the Saguro National Monument in Arizona, I was fortunate to see it before the trash and wanton destruction that has taken place in it.
Drugs and drug trafficing and consumption ruin a lot of lifes, not just the user but every one, that is why the cars and houses, are broken into to steal anything that can be sold for a few bucks to purchase the next hit, when these idiots need to purchase $200.00 a day for theire drug fix, do you think that the narcos care, no they love it.
Nogales, Arizona as well as San Ysidro, California ports of entry are points where a lot of contraband is confiscated, so if you do not answer the cuestions placed by the agents in a truthfull or in an evasive way, I would send you to secondary to be searched with a big microscope, call it rude if you want but the person who posted this thread had an encounter with a CBP agent and they did not like it.
I have been in Nogales, Arizona It is a quaint border town, I have two good friends that where Inmigration and Customs Agents in Nogales until they retiered and came to live in San Diego.
Short answer I hope, and yes I travell in to Mexico.

Excellent response tho I took/read your early post differently. Apologize for saying you were insensitive. The good hard working people along the border have taken such a beating from those who have gained greatly from illegal activities. Thank you!
