Diesel Fuel in Newfoundland Towns

I am laying out our RV trip for Newfoundland and I am concerned about finding diesel fuel along the route. Can anyone tell me if the following towns in Newfoundland have diesel fuel?
Channel-Port aux Basques
Rocky Harbor
St Anthony
Deer Lake
Grand Falls-Windsor
Grander
St John's (I am assuming St. John's has diesel fuel)

Thanks.

Since Texas is so flush with oil, all the trucks down there use premium gasoline. :B

Thank you, I've never travelled anywhere where that was so. After all in Australia, they not only use diesel on the trucks but have several trailers per tractor and call them road trains.

  • Fuel for individuals is regulated in NL.

Public Utilities Board, Petroleum Pricing: http://www.pub.nf.ca/ppoprices.htm When you click on the motor fuel link look to the far right column for diesel. You will also see where you get the best price.

& BTW many transport trucks run on diesel. How anyone down there ever thinks there would be any problems with diesel when most goods are transported via 18-wheelers/transport trucks, I just don't know.

Highway driving will have diesel. Big cities may have diesel only at selected locations - like those gas statiions close to the major highway routes. But folks always ask about rural. Just eeek lack of logic from my driving experience, that one.

What exactly has diesel fueled marine applications have to do with highway availability of diesel fuel for a motorhome? Diesel fuel at a marina properly cannot even be accessed by a motorhome. It will not have fuel taxes applied so cannot be used for highway vehicles. It probably will not be ultra low sulfur fuel required by modern highway diesel fueled motor vehicles.

  • We were there last summer and never had the slightest problem finding diesel anywhere. We went to just about every town on your list (you mean Gander, yes?), and never had any concerns. There are plenty of heavy trucks on the roads serving both the main highway cities and the outports, and they need their fuel, too!

Big towns like Grand Falls Windsor have many choices of stations. But even small towns have diesel.

The only bad news - you'll pay more than in the US. Still, diesel was cheaper than gas some places.
