direct tv

here is a wild question. My husband read that direct tv isn't legal in Canada. Now he's worried that the border will confiscate our direct tv box out of our rv at the crossing. anyone with direct tv in US who crosses ever hear of such nonsense?

  • never heard of that. Canada Border Services are more interested in finding guns, drugs and people not authorized to come into Canada.
  • Nope!! When we crossed the border two weeks ago they spent 45 minutes searching our MH and said nothing about our Directv box, which was located in the first compartment they checked inside.
Parked next to a guy in Dawson Creek that was watching Directv through his Wingard dish.
Now if he says it won't work in Alaska I will agree with him. If you want to watch Directv in Alaska you will need at least a 7 foot dish and a clear view of the horizon at 10 degrees elevation. We suspended our service while in Alaska. (And didn't miss it at all!)
