Flattest routes from GA To Nashville,TN

Took 20 from atlanta into birmingham.
65 north to nashville area.
Nice, smooth, flat, luxurious.

How much does that add to the trip......maybe 100 miles ?? (versus 75/24)

100 miles (approx) longer and having to deal with Birmingham downtown area? Get real! You think Atlanta is a pain?

The OP is correct to pre-plan his route . I plan all of my trips so that the trips are downhill all the way out and back , saves a lot on fuel .

I wouldn't do it.....unless I REALLY wanted a "scenic" route.....but the stated objective was to avoid the mountains.

You can't avoid ALL the negative factors with any route.....usually.

Sounds sorta like the school I went to as a kid. Up hill both ways ;)

yep! Had to alternate days with my brother. We only had one pair of shoes between us. ;)

That would have been a great idea! But no, we hadn't taken any advanced arithmetic. We pretty much plateaued at "naught from naught is naught". I was hoping to get into Georgia Tech, but they said I was over qualified. I ended up at UGA, Party hearty major with minor in coed appreciation
