Franklin, NC to Lake Toxaway, Highway 64
Anyone have experience on US 64 from Franklin to Lake Toxaway in the North Carolina mountains? I will be driving a 40 foot DP pulling a Jeep Liberty. Planning this trip in mid September.

Unless it's been widened & straightened in the past 3-4 years, don't. Not that it can't be done, but you & the other motorists will not enjoy the experience. However, it was great fun in the late winter (no tourist or seasonal traffic) when I owned a Porsche 968.
