Franklin, NC to Lake Toxaway, Highway 64
Anyone have experience on US 64 from Franklin to Lake Toxaway in the North Carolina mountains? I will be driving a 40 foot DP pulling a Jeep Liberty. Planning this trip in mid September.

I made the drive a couple of times in my rig, It is tight, but I love to drive in the Mountains. I drive out west and people all talk about how narrow the roads are, this is the only place I have ever driven where, when I met a tractor trailer heading the other way that one of us had to back up! (Him, as I had the toad and could not back up) The TT backed up, no traffic, and we both went on our way.
This is one beautiful drive and that is the main reason we would take it. ORA has a great spot at the Lake so many others have made the trip.
