Help planning trip Toronto to Newfoundland! (And in-between)
Hey Folks,
Last year we did a Road trip from Toronto out to BC, down to Seattle and back. This year we are going the other direction and heading to Newfoundland!
Just looking for ideas and insight into the trip. I have some ideas and thoughts but always nice to get a second opinion..
So we are travelling in a F150 towing an 18' trailer. We leave Toronto Area on or around 14 July. Family is 10 and 8 year old kids plus the wife and I.
We plan on spending a couple days in Montreal and Quebec city while heading east. Our kids are in french immersion and we thought it would be nice to bury them in the language a bit. Any where near the city centres we can leave the trailer that you guys know of or should we be booking a park?
From there we are heading towards PEI for a few nights. Again should we be booking something or can we get by with parking lots?
I am thinking we will grab a Ferry to Port Aug Basque on the 23 of July. We are going to spend a few days in Corner brook area. From there 4 nights at Gros Morne National Park. From there I think we will have 2 - 3 days just to explore places we want to go in Northern NFLD.
Then onwards to Terra Nova Prov. Park for 2 - 3 nights. Then onwards to St. Johns for a couple of days.
Ferry back from St. Johns on 6 August.
That gives us about a week to get back home. So Some Cabot Trail and Bay of Fundy. An a long drive home.
Again just a rough itinerary so far. I would greatly appreciate your insight!!!
