Highway 12 through ID panhandle

Does anyone have an idea about traveling from Lolo, MT to Lewiston on Highway 12. My wife is skittish about mountain roads.

  • It is my favorite stretch of highway in Idaho.

Take it, you won't regret it!

While it may be a mountain road it's not treacherous in the least, just no real straight stretch.
  • This is an easy route.

However, as some have already said, a LOT of curves.

But really, really scenic drive. Your passenger will enjoy it, you as the driver, not so much.

Cause you'll be too busy driving from one curve into the next and the next one right after that and so on.
  • It is definitely a mountain road. Two lane with many curves.

But as said one of the most beautiful drives in the country.

It is one of my most favorite drives.
  • Been up and down 12 about 50 times, if your not in a hurry beautiful drive along the Lochsa river, then it turns into the Clearwater then eventually turns into the Snake river......
  • There really no reason not take this road absolutely beautiful .most 40 45 mph hr
  • This is a great highway!
Only shot stretch could upset her west of summit.
