How is 199 from Crescent City to Grants Pass in winter

We are thinking about going down the Oregon Coast this coming winter and thought about coming home via I5 and then DH mentioned we might not want to try 199 at that time of year. We have a Class C It...

199 will be plowed and sanded as needed, but good idea to let the storm clear.

It doesn't happen every year but it can snow and stick to the road all the way to 101 and the ocean.
