Monterey, Ca fairgrounds

I stayed at the fairgrounds a few years ago. Basically it's a parking lot with some of the sites shaded by large oak trees,. There is good security; the gate's locked at night, but they give you a code so you can go in and out. The camp hosts were very nice and pleasant. The location can't be beat. It's so close to everything you would want to see in Monterey and Carmel. The airport is close so there is some noise during the day. My only complaint was the ten million watt overhead lights - you could read a newspaper inside with the blinds closed - I put black trash bags over the windows in the bedroom.
