Portland to Nova Scotia ferry

I can not get Novastar ferry web site to work .
Approx what is the cost of the ride from Portland to Nova Scotia ?
Fifty five feet total trailer and P.U . Two pax in June ?
I want to drive one way , is it better to drive in or out ?
  • Forgot to say the trip is 10 hours.

What a difference calling and just looking up what one could find, ie. between figures I was given and those JackD got.

Sure cabin cost is part of it, but not all. & I understood "pax" to mean passengers, ie. 2 passengers or another $94.00.

Party I talked to understood those who wanted information are from the USA.

  • OK, step by step

    2015 Fares

I called them. 866-864-6295 That takes you to Nova Scotia office.

Daily night sailing from Portland in summer at 8:00 pm. Cabin or assigned seat required. Fare 1 way $772, which includes 2 adult passengers, trailer and towing vehicle @ 55 feet.

Morning sailing from Yarmouth 9:30 am. Atlantic Daylight Time, rig as above, 2 adult passengers with cabin. Cabin not required. $642.

They ask you for your license #, which with trailer would be trailer. & passport numbers. They have to have those.

Of course, I told the person on the line that I was inquiring for someone else and that the site should let a person scout out costs without having to give specifics.

Round trip fare is less than pricing one way fares and adding them together.

OK - what you see determines which way to drive. You may want to ask a specific post for members suggestions on what to see.

    Maine-New Brunswick dovetailed sights
    - Grand Manan Island, Deer Island
    - Coastal New Brunswick drive or inland drive different things.
    - city of Saint John
    - Fundy tidal sights

Then lots of places to see in Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland.
I've got to run. But if you ask, of course I have suggestions.
