- AlabamaTravelerExplorerThe Shining is one of my favorite movies. However, we have several "ghost places" right here in our state. Yes, we have checked them out, without a lot of driving. I'm sure every state has their own spooks. Happy camping.........

OK for full timers, but the rest of us would be kind of hard put to come up with that kind of time off, IF we had an inclination to do a theme based tour.
Yuck...Not my type of theme. I haven't seen even a quarter of those movies.
Am surprised they didn't try to go to Atlanta to be walk-ons for "The Walking Dead" or "Teen Wolf". - hitchupExplorerYuck...Not my type of theme. I haven't seen even a quarter of those movies.

Although I probably wouldn't choose the horror theme, I've often thought of others it would be fun to follow around the country. BTW, both the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park and Timberline Lodge in Oregon are well worth seeing. The Shining is a favorite of mine, possibly because I spent a lot of time as a kid in the Colorado mountains.
