Route from College Park, MD to Croton on Hudson, NY

HELP! We are in need of a route we can take that will not require us to cross over the George Washington Bridge. We drove over this bridge in a small vehicle and still have nightmares. Has anyon...

Go up 95 from College Park to 695 to 83 to Harrisburg,Pa then take 81 to 78 to I-287 in Sufferin,NY..stay on 287 over the Tap to Elmsford and take rt 9 north..which looks like the first exit off the Tap...never been on Rt9, so can't say what kinda road it is..Chuck
