Route from Phoenix AZ to Holbrook AZ or points East
Had a traveler once tell us of a route from West Phoenix AZ on non-Interstate route that will go to Int at Holbrook AZ or city East on Int 40. Does anyone know of this route? Thanks in advance.

This is a very popular route for RVers - lots of forest service campgrounds along Hwy 87. From Mesa you'll be going toward Payson. It's very easy to drive but it's busy. Try to do it during the week, if possible to avoid the weekend rush. Have a good trip!
