Richard, I hear its still a mess and i am doing 95 to 64 to 81, on 4/20 after St.anastasia st pk. paul

Came through there this morning. Still like it was in Nov but not bad enough for me to take the I64 route (so long and so far south of Winchester). Tough out the construction and consider US17 to I66 and back on US17 at Delaplane to US50 to Winchester. Some 45mph speed limits but the scenery is worth it.

It is still under construction. Depending on when you come through there, it's horrible.

It took me 45 minutes to go a little over 2 miles the other day. Unfortunately, I hit it around rush hour time.

It's a******shoot, 64/81 is about 30-35 min longer, on a bad day at rush hour, you'll spend that long (maybe longer) on 17, I-64 you have Afton mountain, 17/66 you have a lot of hills, no real mountains.

Anybody know when the construction will be completed?

I was planning on going that way next Tuesday 4/7 in the afternoon. does anyone know what time the rush hour starts there. I am thinking about staying on I-81 to I-77 to I-26 to I-95 and on to Florida. Any suggestions?

I plan on going that way on Monday 4/6..still like you deciding which way to go....have to keep eye on the weather...Chuck

Heading north already Chuck? I'll be heading up sometime in May. I tried 64 last fall and it was about 50 miles longer and a lot more hills so I guess I will put up with 17. Safe Travel!

Bill, we are actually going from Ct to Florida....just got back from St Thomas,so do Florida for cpl weeks ,get back to Ct for grandson's first communion..end of April...Chuck
