Safely leaving firearms near the border?
Hey All,
I DON'T want to engage in a discussion of the merits of carrying firearms in your RV in the US. I choose to. That is my decision.
My question is:
Does anyone know of a good solution for safely storing your firearms just prior to crossing the border?
Several years ago I tried leaving guns at a gun store in Detroit while traveling to Canada. I don't know if things have changed since then but they told me that in order to pick them up on my way back I would have to undergo a background check and 10 day waiting period. That was 10 days AFTER I returned to Detroit.
I was fortunate to have friends about an hours drive from the border crossing and they stored them for me.
Unfortunately I don't have trusted friends in AZ.
Any thoughts?
