I70 is a major Interstate Hwy and is generally open, even through the winter. There was an early but short cold front that came through late last week but it came and went.

On the link above you can get up to date Colorado road conditions and also view webcams. I70 is a fine road to travel with RVs, just make sure and gear down on declines and stay to the right on inclines.

Trail Ridge Road and Old Fall River Road both closed temporarily over the weekend due to snow. Reopening this morning to thru traffic. The Aspen have been brilliant up there.

We were camping near Buena Vista and the snow started Friday night. Really came down at times, but the ground has been so warm, it was only sticking higher up. The biggest downside was the wind. Took many of the aspen leaves off overnight.

The weather did keep the crowds down. Some day tripper up taking aspen pictures, but overall it was a quieter weekend than usual, given that it was near the peak of leaf season.

Started snowing here around sundown. Just light snow and its not sticking. Kind of early for it but not unusual. Should kick the fishing into high gear and hopefully make for a great hunting season. Temp is currently about 34F only to get cooler through the next week.

The unusual cold front came through here yesterday. Only to last one day. But it sure does make it feel like winter...Burr

It's only 92 here in the Dallas Ft Worth Area...YEAH!!! We're finally below 100.
