A must for sure. We've been traveling the US for 8 years now, Oregon to Maine, Cali to Florida and much of the middle. I've learned lots in that time, but always open to suggestions. What I've learned the most is to mitigate the towing-height fear and hit those scenic spots with the truck only. Towing the 5W adds a whole lot to it. It's not the grades, really, by the way. It's the heights with narrow roads and LONG dropoffs, lack of guard rails, and pulling a 5W especially. Long, steep, grades and few pullouts are also annoying but not fearful.
