One of the things a person will find on camping in the Springs area, is that many of the campgrounds are old. This area has been a draw for tourists, since shortly after God made dirt. LOL We had a nice back in site on the north side of the playground area and it was nice and large at the Garden of the Gods. They do have some tight sites in other parts of the CG. The new owners of the Garden have put in some new pull throughs on the Hwy side. According to a newspaper article I read this summer, the new corporate owner of the Garden of the Gods CG, has spent about $800,000 on improvements. Hopefully they can get the wifi fixed to where it is more dependable and has more band width.
But several of the other campgrounds in the Springs area are even tighter on space.
Cheyenne Mountain SP is fairly new so the larger size of todays RVs was obviously taken into consideration when they designed the park. One of these days we plan to stay there just to check it out. Some summers we stay in the Woodland area as it tends to be a bit cooler most of the time due to altitude.
