Suggestions Cleveland,Oh to Boston

I live in Western NY and have used I86. I88 and I90 to travel to campgrounds on the East side of New York State. If convenient rest areas with bathrooms/Food/Fuel are important to you, where you don't have to worry about height considerations and tight maneuvering, take the Thruway. If having uninterrupted cell phone coverage is important to you, take the Thruway. If having help available quickly if needed is important to you, take the Thruway. If saving $25 is important to you, if long stretches of bumpy roads are ok with you (This is winter so there are numerous pot holes), If locating a fueling station you can get in to easily isn't all that important to you, take I86/I88. To me, the safety, the easy on-off for food/fuel/restrooms, 100% cell phone coverage in case of emergency and better road conditions generally speaking, are worth the money I've paid in tolls.
