- cruiserjsExplorerIf you must go to Calgary ( there are alt.routes) go west to Cochrane and turn south on #22 south to #3. Then east about 2 miles to Pincher Creek south there past Waterton N.P (Canadian) and south to St. Mary (Glacier NP (US).
If you do not need Calgary - take #40 south at Grande Prairie. St the trans canadaeither go west to continue south on #40 - thru Kananaskis Country and then out to #22 at Longview, then south to Pincher Creek (as above). More info wnated you can PM me.
John - kknowltonExplorer IIYou will likely need reservations in/around St Mary. We stayed at the KOA there. Nothing fantastic except the scenery (which is a big wow.) :) Comfortable enough, especially for a few days. The CG inside the park has no hookups & a bit better atmosphere.
- romoreExplorer II#2 south of Edmonton is pretty monotonous and traffic gets stupid, highway 40 is slower but much more interesting. Once you reach #3 turn east to Cardston then south on 2. I can't help you with camp grounds.
