Too ambitious?

We live on the east coast , and want to visit tombstone AZ, the Grand Canyon AZ, and Monument Valley UT. Is this doable in one trip? This would be when we purchase our Class C motorhome. As far as time restraints, it would be a 2 - 3 week trip at the most. I'm not opposed to driving in shifts to get out there.
  • Of course it is doable. You said you are willing to drive in shifts. If you don't care about comfort and safety, then driving 24/7 with alternate drivers sleeping in the bed, then you will be there in no time, leaving about 2 weeks to explore your destination.

But why? You will be missing so much in between, and you will be uncomfortable getting there and back. My advice, stop and smell the roses.
  • It can of course be done. You can do the math on miles per day you want to tackle on the way there and back. I would opt to plan on using the full three weeks. 1/3 time to get there, 1/3 time there, 1/3 time to get back. There are a lot of blanks spaces in your map you could fill in and make the trip more than seeing how many miles can I do before I drop. There's a lot to see and enjoy.
  • doable until i saw the 2/3 weeks. and you are missing most of the "good" spots.
