We've stayed at South Carolina State Parks over the years. We flip flop the week of Christmas between the Florida Pan Handle and South Carolina for the week of Christmas. Then we take a second trip and flip the opposite the week of March 10.
South Carolina State Parks are open year round, and in the winter months, they are not busy at all, especially if you are not right on the beach, either the Atlantic ocean or the Gulf. Find State Parks that peak your interest, make reservations for 2 week jaunts and then move to the next one for 2 week. You can enjoy and experience new areas, and enjoy variety that way.
Sure wish we could do 2 months like that. We've probably stay one week somewhere and them move to another State Park. That would be simply fantastic, and think of all the great touring you could do on that motorcycle!
