- Traveler_IIExplorerA few years ago we met a couple that were making their first winter trip in a Class B. There idea was they could do their shopping and have a place to stay. We became good friends and would take them shopping and sight-seeing, in fact we still meet up with them during the winter months. Now they have a Class A and pull a Jeep. What they said is their first RV was way to small for long stays, and not easy to use for shopping or running around.
- cekkkExplorerI realize you didn't ask for general advice, but do your plans take into account the possibility of illness or a desire to stretch your geography beyond pod plodding for sight-seeing, grocery shopping, etc.? As snowbirders ourselves we find our camper is not Sanforized, and as it shrinks as the days and weeks go by, it helps to get way away.
It's possible you will be comfortable spending a lot of time in your MH, but you might find a golf cart a reasonable compromise between foot power and horsepower. In AZ you can license them and take to the streets. That may be the case elsewhere. You may have friends with snowbirding experience that can give you some of their knowledge and experiences.
Of course, you may have given this a lot of thought and are aware of what's ahead. If so, I wish you a great winter with several more to follow! :) - Dog_FolksExplorer

First time snowbird heading south looking for site within walking distance to shopping since traveling in class c and not taking our car. Looking at gulf coast
Within walking distance to shopping, near the coast, is going to limit you to a lot less parks.
Members here that have stayed in some will need to chime in. The coastal area is 1300 square miles large. Good luck in your quest.
