Sorry, being from Ontario myself I can sympathize with you, but you clearly went through on the red light! It's not worth a trip back To Alabama to take a chance in court... where you will likely lose. Pay the $60.00 US and stay further back when you can't see the traffic lights ahead. I think you are lucky this did not happen here in Ontario where the fines are MUCH higher!! I paid my $90.00 US speeding ticket a couple of years ago even though I was charged for speeding up just before the increased speed limit sign while leaving town. :S
