For what it's worth.....in MOST, not all, but most states, a traffic light ticket is a civil penalty, not a traffic infraction. It cannot be reported to the DMV (Dept of Motor Vehicles) because it cannot be proved in court that the owner of the vehicle was the driver.
If you do not pay the ticket, they can attempt to get their $$$ by reporting you to the credit bureaus and it may or may not go against your credit, but it won't go against your driver's license.
I am not sure of Alabama and don't know how they do theirs, but I would probably contact an attorney there and see what they have to say.
