My first disclaimer is that I am a retired LEO and I will say that red light cameras are a cash cow and nothing more. They do not save lives or avoid accidents, that is a myth, in fact they cause more rear end accidents than help.
In this case I checked all the still pictures but was not able to check the video as I don't have the proper plugin but just from my observation I don't see why you could not see the red light. You had not even entered the intersection and the light was red.
I would just pay the ticket as 60 bucks is nothing. It probably cost them more to send the ticket out than it is worth.As someone else stated, here in Calgary the price is through the roof and our cameras also have speed indicators which costs you even more. The only good thing is that there is no points given as they can't identify the driver and the insurance companies don't get this info so they can't jack up your rates.
