Got to jump in here with a couple of comments on Red Light Cameras.
First, in and around the Orlando, Florida area, Red Light running results in a $262.00 fine. So, $60.00 is cheap in comparison.
Second, (and this is for drivers with U.S. licenses) don't pay the ticket. Or just tell the DMV (for whatever state you are licensed in) that you didn't get the ticket. As a former Florida Driver License office manager those excuses don't hold water anymore. On a daily basis I used to see at least a dozen people not able to get their license renewed, or an original license issued, until all fines were settled with the state they got the ticket in. You can't run from the fines anymore as overdue fines are now put on the NDR (National Data Record). With late and reinstatement fees it gets real expensive.
