This may be a new idea (scam) for rv's, but it's an old one for tenters. I traveled across the country this way 43 years ago. Several places in the south had ponds on the property and allowed me to catch my dinner and breakfast. I realize it was a different time back then and I was just out of the service but it was one amazing trip. Not one mile nor one minute was spent on an interstate. From NYC to Oregon and south through California and then to Florida (Clearwater) only four people refused my request.
