Anyone stay at St Louis RV Park

I will be going out west with my two daughters ages 15 & 12 and without a toad and am looking for a campground close to the arch for a night or two to take in that attraction. I understand it is not much but it is close. I was wondering if anyone who stayed there had any security concerns, or other recommendations. Thanks!
  • When will you be coming through our fair town? That will be important because of Arch renovations.

I agree with DrewE, if you have the opportunity you really need to explore the St Louis City Museum . The girls will never forget the experience. It's unlike anyplace I've ever been.

  • The casino RV park is the Casino Queen RV Park, and it's just across the river from the arch. The St Louis RV park is a different place, basically on the corner of MLK Drive and Jefferson Ave. I can't speak from personal experience at either place.

In addition to the attractions mentioned, I would very much recommend taking your daughters to the St Louis City Museum. It is unique and wonderful (and somewhat misleading in its name).

Assume you are inquiring about the RV park at the casino near down town St. Louis (??). No reason for any security concerns, as it has security and is a nice short term park. It is also near metro-link which is a train that will take you right into St. Louis for touring. We have never stayed there, but have visited the casino and RV park. We used to live nearby in Alton, IL. Places to visit in the St. Louis- The old capitol building downtown, St. Louis Zoo, Art museum, Arch, and Budweiser brewery. Enjoy!

X2 note that for the zoo you catch a shuttle to the zoo from the metro link station.
  • Its also across the street from the police station Its is a very questionable area The way things are going in the city these days I would not stay there I would rent a car and stay in Babler State Park an easy drive to the city
