I'm just wondering if that was the place I tented at back in 1967. A college buddy of mine and I headed to Myrtle Beach just before going backt o school. We hit a ton of resistance back then because we were in our late teens and without our families so none of the 'family' campgrounds would let us camp. There was only one campground along the beach that would let us stay but I can't remember the name of it. I do remember it was south of The Bowery bar. The drinking age for beer in SC back then was 18 so it suited us Canadian boys just fine since back home the drinking age was 20.

no Arrowhead would have been on the north end, way out in the country at that time. South would have been Pirateland, Ocean Lakes or Lakewood. Or could have been one of the state parks
Thanks for the info. It wasn't one of the state parks but it was in an area that is all hotels now. It was also north of the airport.
It was such a small campground and catered to families who were tenting or had small trailers. There were no large rv's at the time. :C
