Do not depend on the websites as gospel.

Things change rapidly and from state to state as well as province to province. As an example this past September chicken was permitted to enter the US unless it was from Ontario and permitted from the US into Canada with exception of 14 states listed at the time.

If you want to be sure, you need to call your port of entry and ask the question relative to what food products you want to cross.

when we pack our freezer, I write everything down that is in there and the border people really seemed to like that. the guy told me to do that each year.....

We do that as well and have been told we like list people.

me again. returning to Canada I see that you cannot take Chicken across the border, raw that is. does anyone know if I cook what I have and refreeze it, would that be acceptable....

Chickens sell for about $.99 a pound hereabouts. How much chicken are you trying to save? It might be cheaper to try and cross with your chickens and then toss it if it's a problem. Good Luck

I think I will not take a chance on any issues and just give it away. it is boneless skinless chichen thighs and do not sell for 99 cents a pound....tehehe.
