- mobilefleetExplorer$50k isn't even close. And the old adage to think about: "The cheapest guy ends up spending the most." In other words- shortcuts will cost you big time.

Maybe you could talk to the guy who put up the money?
Otherwise, you are going to have to either do all the research for them, or let go of your attachment to them not screwing up.
If you want to do the research, well, the answers to all your questions are gettable. Call the local zoning people, ask if an RV park is allowed, what permits will cost. Call an electrician and a sewer guy. If you don't know good ones, call the electrical supply and plumbing supply houses (the ones that sell to pros, not home depot) and ask who they recommend.
Being a contractor, organizing a construction job, is a lot of work, but you can do it if you want to.
Is their land even in a place that tourists want to go?
No def not where tourists want to be , it's far outside the city , but they said its close ish go some horse track idk, I think they're more betting on a long term community of residents who have little other options ,they want it to be a kind of rural artists haven.
If it's any kind of feasible I don't mind trying to steer them the right way but if they're absolutely way off the budget mark then idk what I'll do, I guess detach be I don't see them stopping. I'm just trying to assess before I take a stance if that makes sense be maybe they know things I don't and I'm too quick to judge - NaioExplorer II

I forgot to mention the front half (that is nearest the road u enter on) of the 9 acres is on a flood plain.
Then the law may require flood insurance. That is EXPENSIVE. Either way, they will need business insurance. Add that to your phone calls list. - NaioExplorer IIMaybe you could talk to the guy who put up the money?

Friend of mine bought 8 raw acres
Built a 50 site 50A FHU CG
Took 3 plus years......permitting and actual construction
He and 2 sons plus odd help now and then
He owned front loaded, backhoe, dump truck
Had friend licensed electrician do pedesatls
Cost was roughly $8000 per site back in 2006/2008
Your 'friends' are in for an EYE-OPENER
$50k---15 sites.....then they would have to do everything for $3000 per site.
Building plans/permitting..........there goes most of that 50K
YOU can NOT help a fool intent on spending his money.
Harsh...but true!

I'm gonna wait for WesternParkOwner to chime in here, it ought to be an eye opener. It won't suprise me that pulling power from the closest point and all the mains distribution on the property itself will exceed $50k, not including any site distribution.
The permits and architecture drawings alone, which you must have before the permits itself will exceed this.
I'm interested in how tom/barb things it can be done, any tips or references ? - SuperchargedExplorerI was going to build one a couple times, had the land, plans, engineeing, cost of permitts ect. I seamed to me to put in a manager to run it and come out you need 200 units.
Now Im looking to build a park model one 22 acres water, ele, sewer on site. trying to see if I want to put the plug and build it.
Would sell the unit out right with the lot, I would have to carry the paper on them also.
I don't have that good of fealing about the up coming years for business. - SCVJeffExplorerI'm gonna wait for WesternParkOwner to chime in here, it ought to be an eye opener.
