- eieiohExplorerI suggest you look into Blue Cypress Golf and RV resort. They have golf on-site. Fishing on site. Boat access to the Lake on site. All sites are FHU including cable. You can buy a site or rent an unused one. Lots of options. Close to town and an hour from either coast. We were able to rent an unused site for a week for a reasonable price.
- bmerpawExplorerWe stayed at Silver Palms for the months of Jan. & Feb. this year. Great resort if you pay full price & lot of activities. Those who took advantage of the monthly special were often shuffled around & put in unfinished sites. Also beware of the constant bickering between site owners & resort management. We were lucky to be included with the owners due to our long stay but some were not so lucky. We will probably not return,
- JRS___BExplorerAre you looking to stay near Lake Okeechobee on the north end by the town of Okeechobee, or the south end by Clewiston? I have stayed at the KOA at Clewiston. It is just okay.
We also stayed for 3 months at the KOA at the north end, which is big and nice with lots of activities. But neither area is all that special. Plus not that much in the way of restaurants or shopping to speak of. I assume you have a reason for going there other than just to go there.
If you are just interested in seeing Lake Okeechobee I would recommend Fort Pierce instead. Fort Pierce has lots of everything and countless beautiful beaches open to the public. You can drive to Lake Okeechobee in about an hour or so. That is, make a day trip to Okeechobee, but stay somewhere else. - RoadpilotExplorerSilver Palms is very upscale. A great park.
- FLGupExplorerCheck out Silver Palms in Okeechobee . The KOA is across the street, if you are looking for a quick stop over.
- soricobobExplorerThe Glades, and M RV Resort, both in Moore Haven, are the class of the area.
- Parrothead_MikeExplorerWe've never stayed in that area, but have traveled through. It's a pretty rural area. Below are some RV Park Review.com selections for towns around the big lake.
