Second this place. A bit spotty getting there as you look like you are driving into the city but the sites are great. - NCWriterExplorerWe stayed at Casino Queen RV Park in East St. Louis, Il. Right across the river from the arch last year. Newish facilities with easy quick train ride over the river to the Arch. It was almost empty and a bargain at $25 but the price has apparently doubled to around $50 in the past year. So I'd choose one of the others mentioned unless you enjoy casino amenities.
You can buy tickets online to ride to the top of the Arch with packages that include a riverboat ride (very enjoyable.) The museum and movie found beneath the Arch are well worth a visit. We enjoyed doing all that since we'd never been there before. Great view from the top, and interesting history of how it was built. - edslandExplorerWe stayed at a KOA near 6 Flags, really nice campground.

bumpy - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIEdmund Babler State Park is awesome. It's easy to get into the city. The spaces are lush with manicured grass and are very large. It's a huge park with a swimming pool, hiking trails, lots of road to ride bikes and lots of shade. Highly recommended.
