Campgrounds in the Florida Panhandle
We will be traveling from the West Coast to the Keys. We are concerned about campground availability along Hwy 10 toward the middle of January. Should we be concerned?

It can be a challenge. We don't travel without reservations...many folks just wing it and are comfortable with their choice. When traveling in unfamiliar territory we start making phone calls after lunch while on the road to make a nightly reservation. There are plenty of campgrounds along your route; availability should not be an issue. Now, when you get onto I-75 south to reach the keys...you will be traversing the length of Florida, the pickings may be sparser and sparser the further south you get. Too many seniors and too few new campgrounds opening up. Again, your cellphone is your friend. ENJOY !
